This aims to remove darkened skin colour in the vulval area, inner thighs or in the perineum. Such discolouration may be genetic, a result of hormonal changes, age, or childbirth. This condition can often be frustrating to a woman and result in poor self-esteem and sexual dysfunction. The procedure takes place using laser, or more simply a special application of vulval solution and masks on three or more sessions, depending on the severity of the discolouration. Each session usually lasts about 15 minutes.

What is post-procedure care?
You will be prescribed antibiotics and antibacterial cream to apply to the treated area for 5-7 days, if treated by laser but not with the mask. It is advisable to avoid sexual intercourse for 7 days.
