Face Microneedling Course

Microneedling is done by moving microscopic needles gently over the face to cause miniscule puncture marks. The controlled dermal wounding stimulates the wound healing cascade, resulting in the release of various growth factors to promote new collagen and elastin production, which are the building blocks of healthy skin.

It is combined usually with mesotherapy to get the contents of the serum such as amino acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and hyaluronic acid into the skin for a greater repair process.

Microneedling should be done at the right depth for each area as deeper treatment may result in more trauma to some cells such as keratinocyte which in turn stimulates the melanocytes to produce more melanin and pigmentation to the skin.

Treatment may be cosmetic or medical:

Cosmetic Treatment is a shallow treatment designed to brighten the skin and improve the penetration of the serum. This treatment leads to the maintenance of the skin’s texture, tone and strength.

Medical Treatment is targeting the deep layers of dermis so using longer needles. It will stimulate the dermis making it possible to treat acne and other scars by breaking up scar tissues and inducing skin remodelling.
